AlphaGO – Jan Frejlak

The direct inspiration for our enterprise was a great success of AlphaGo: an AI software, developed by Google DeepMind company to play the board game Go. Go is an ancient Chinese  game which despite its very simple rules is much more complex than Chess and for many decades has been specially challenging subject of AI studies. Until 2016 most researchers had claimed that computers would not defeat top humans at Go before 2050 (some of them that it would never happen at all).
